Do I need a developer to get started?+
No. Most customers are set up and live in under 20 minutes using our step-by-step setup guides. If you can install a WordPress plugin and copy a shortcode, you have everything you need to get started. Our support team is also available if you need a hand.
Is my data safe?+
Yes. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard TLS. We do not sell or share your personal data or your clients' data with third parties. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
What happens if I cancel?+
Your account deactivates at the end of your current billing period — you keep access until then. No data is deleted immediately. You have a 30-day grace period to export your contacts, leads, and settings before anything is removed from our servers.
Where does the listing data come from?+
All property data is sourced directly from the Smart Estate MLS data infrastructure. The database contains 41,000+ active property listings across Nigeria, updated daily. Your IDX Plugin fetches and displays this data live on your site.
Which WordPress page builders does it support?+
The Smart Estate IDX Plugin is shortcode-based, which means it works with any WordPress page builder: Elementor, Divi, Gutenberg, WPBakery, Beaver Builder, and others. Simply drop the shortcode into any page or block and the plugin renders the full listing interface.
Can I show only properties in my city?+
Yes. Use the lga and state attributes on the [nmls_listings] shortcode to pre-filter listings by location. You can also combine these with property type and listing type filters.
Will it slow my website?+
No. The plugin uses isolated Vue 3 JavaScript bundles that only load on pages where you have placed a shortcode. Your other pages are completely unaffected. The bundles are also minified and production-optimized.
What's the difference between the tiers?+
Starter covers 1 website with live IDX listings, search, filters, map view, and lead capture. Pro includes everything in Starter, adds the market data widget, custom branding controls, shortcode builder, and covers up to 3 websites. How does WhatsApp integration work?+
Connect your WhatsApp Business number in the CRM settings panel. Once linked, all inbound WhatsApp messages from leads appear directly in your CRM inbox alongside other contact channels. You can reply, assign, and log conversations without switching apps.
Can multiple agents use the same account?+
Yes. The Team tier supports up to 3 individual agent logins with separate permissions, and the Brokerage tier supports unlimited users. Each agent has their own dashboard, lead queue, and activity log while sharing the central pipeline view.
Does it integrate with the IDX Plugin?+
Yes, automatically. Any lead who fills out an inquiry form via an IDX Plugin shortcode on your website is instantly added to your CRM pipeline. You can see which property they enquired about, tag them, and start a follow-up — all without manual entry.
Can I import my existing leads?+
Yes. Upload a CSV file of existing contacts using the CRM import tool. Supported fields include phone number, email address, full name, and basic profile notes. Duplicates are detected and flagged before you confirm the import.
Is there a mobile app?+
The Smart Estate CRM is built as a Progressive Web App (PWA), meaning it works fully in your mobile browser — you can add it to your home screen for an app-like experience. A dedicated native iOS and Android app is on our product roadmap.
What payment methods do you accept?+
All payments are processed securely by Paystack. Accepted methods include Nigerian debit cards (Verve, Visa, Mastercard), direct bank transfers, and USSD. No foreign card or international payment is required.
Can I switch between monthly and annual billing?+
Yes. You can switch your billing cycle from your customer portal at your next renewal date. Choosing annual billing saves you 20% compared to the monthly rate — the equivalent of over two months free per year.
What happens if my payment fails?+
If a payment attempt fails, Paystack will automatically retry up to 3 times over 7 days. You'll receive an email notification each time. If the payment remains unresolved after that period, your subscription is paused — not deleted — so you can resolve the issue and resume without losing your data.
Can I get a receipt or invoice?+
Yes. Paystack automatically emails a payment receipt to your registered address after every successful transaction. Full invoices can also be downloaded at any time from the Billing section of your customer portal at login.smartestateio.com.
Where do I manage my subscription?+
Everything is managed from your customer portal at login.smartestateio.com. From there you can view your license keys, update billing details, download the latest plugin version, and cancel or upgrade your plan.
I lost my license key — how do I find it?+
Log in to your portal at login.smartestateio.com. Your active license key is always visible on the main dashboard. You can copy it from there and paste it directly into your WordPress plugin settings.
Can I use my IDX license on multiple sites?+
Starter licenses are valid for 1 website, Pro licenses cover up to 3 websites, and the Agency tier allows unlimited site activations under one license. Contact us any time if you need to upgrade your plan.
How do I cancel?+
Go to your customer portal → Subscription → Cancel. Cancellation is instant and does not require a phone call or support ticket. You keep access until the end of your current billing period.
